US Defence Secretary Pete Hegseth said Friday that the Trump administration would boost military ties with the Philippines to strengthen deterrence against threats from the communist Chinese and ensure freedom of navigation in the disputed South China Sea. Hegseth spoke during a meeting with President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. in the Philippines, his first stop on his first trip to Asia, to reaffirm Washington's ironclad commitment to the region under Trump. Ahead of the visit, China called the United States a predator and an unreliable ally. Trump's America First foreign policy thrust has triggered concerns in Asia about the scale and depth of US commitment to the region. Hegseth's decision to make the Philippines his first stop in Asia, followed by Japan both US treaty allies facing territorial disputes with China was the strongest assurance yet by the US under Trump to maintain a security presence in the region. Deterrence is necessary around the world but specifically in th...

Before it was an iconic HBO show (which is unfortunately now nearly impossible to watch), Tales from the Crypt was a 1972 movie. And, like the HBO show, it was based on Al Feldstein, Johnny Craig, and Bill Gaines 1950s EC Comics line of the same name. The anthology film was directed by Freddie Francis (who also helmed an episode of the HBO shows final season) and manages to get away with showing quite a bit, though of course not to the extent of the late 80s to mid 90s show. Other than the basic concept of showing multiple stories introduced by a Crypt Keeper, however, the two projects couldnt be any further apart tonally.Videos by ComicBook.comBut, watching the 1972 movie, one can see certain tracks being lain. In other words, the movie walked so the show could run. What Is Tales from the Crypt About?Excluding the wraparound segment which, of course, comes equipped with a twist ending, Tales from the Crypt is made up of five stories. Michelle Randolph 'Cried Every Single Time' She Read '1923' Season 2 Finale, Which Picks Up After That Shocking Death (Exclusive)

2025-04-24 12:45:03| Spiritual Career Counseling

Warning: This post contains spoilers for 1923 season 2. Michelle Randolph couldn't contain her emotions the first time she read the script for the 1923 season 2 finale episode and after the devastating loss that the penultimate episode brought, that's pretty understandable. The second-to-last episode of the Yellowstone prequel series, which aired March 30, saw the unexpected and brutal death of Jack Dutton (Darren Mann), husband to Randolph's Elizabeth Dutton. It's likely, then, that this week's finale will see the fallout from the loss of his wife, who is expecting a baby, and the rest of his family, including his great-uncle Jacob (Harrison Ford) and great-aunt Cara (Helen Mirren).1923 Just Killed Off 5 Major Characters, Setting the Stage for a Bloody Season 2 Finale Prior to the penultimate episode's premiere, Randolph, 27, told PEOPLE that she'd read the season 2 scripts "so many times because I just actually enjoy reading it." The same is true of the likely heart-wrenching final...
