Esta semana a cineasta belga Chantal Akerman completaria 72 anos. Infelizmente ela nos deixou em 2015. Seu nome ficou marcado para sempre na história do cinema com a obra-prima Jeanne Dielman (Jeanne Dielman, 23, quai du commerce, 1080 Bruxelles, 1975), filme de 200 hipnóticos minutos e de extremo rigor que consiste basicamente em acompanharmos as atividades domésticas da personagem-título (Delphine Seyrig no papel de uma vida) por alguns dias, numa escalada sufocante de alienaço e rotina de uma mulher como priso. Sua carreira, no entanto, está longe de se resumir a isso, mas uma filmografia sempre desafiadora, e em certos sentidos experimental, faz com que a cineasta seja pouco conhecida fora de círculos cinéfilos.
