We invite applications for adjunct faculty positions to teach undergraduate courses in 2025. This search will establish a 'pool' of instructors if such openings occur during Spring, Summer, or Fall of 2025. Applicants may be selected from this pool on an as-needed basis throughout the year. Course topics may include: film foundations, film production, editing with Adobe, cinematography, film sound, studio production, new media, animation, documentary, electronic literature, web design, and/or game design. Minimum of three (3) years of relevant professional experience required. Professional activity may be corporate, artistic and/or scholarly. PhD or MFA in Film, New Media or related field preferred. Practitioner in Residence

We seek applicants for a full-time Practitioner-in-Residence Faculty position in Cinematography beginning January 2025. This is a one-semester appointment. The projected teaching load for the position will be 12 credits (~4 courses) per semester. We are looking for candidates with professional and preferably academic experience in cinematography, lighting, and lighting design for film, video, and television. Experience should include fluency in advanced processes and techniques in professional video formats, significant experience with digital tools, techniques, and workflows, and an understanding of the relevance of emerging technologies on creative practices. The successful candidate will approach lighting and cinematography as tools for artistic expression that further enhance storytelling. Experience in both film and television, including studio television, is a plus. We seek candidates who can fundamentally enhance our curriculum by fostering a more diverse environment on set and on screen, utilizing compositional and lighting techniques that enhance stories produced by a highly diverse student body.
