The dramatic showdown ended as the arsonist handed himself over to the police. At 9.30am on April 5, Na Jomtien Police sprang into action after receiving reports of a roaring fire at a plush three-storey residence. Firefighters dashed to the scene with three engines in tow, battling flames and dense smoke for over 30 minutes. The inferno left the propertys interior severely scorched, with extensive damage recorded. Police swiftly nabbed 57 year old Sinchai, who admitted to his fiery antics. Chaloem, a 60 year old security guard, revealed the story behind the blaze.
