Senior Producer, Storytelling

The Storytelling team works to expand the organization's impact through journalism, photography, film/video, web content, mapping, asset management, and data visualization. The Senior Producer develops and produces a diverse portfolio of media that furthers the mission of the society. Under the guidance of and in consultation with the senior team, the Senior Producer contributes to media strategy, builds workplans, and executes media productions ranging from short web videos, to high-profile event media, to television content. The Senior Producer manages relationships with multiple internal and external stakeholders, collaborates across the organization, and represents Storytelling at key project meetings. The Sr. Producer supervises a team of both staff and freelancers, oversees long-term planning and manages multiple projects at any given time. 10+ years of media production experience required, 5+ of which must be producer level experience. Knowledge of standard video production workflows and Adobe Creative Suite is required. The successful candidate should have experience creating new video production workflows. The successful candidate will have a record of ambitious, creative, innovative visual storytelling, as well as proven success communicating science, geography, and cultural topics through media campaigns.
