This role is an integral part of the video team, responsible for overseeing production and driving, executing a creative strategy through all content, series, and events. The ideal candidate will have experience as a creative director or similar, understanding how to create and disseminate a cohesive creative strategy designed to drive significant audience growth on YouTube and other digital platforms. While strong creative experience and instincts are important, this candidate should also have experience managing production operations, knowing how to find efficiencies and create processes that support production and overall project management. To be successful in this role, you must also be a music fan, deeply tapped into the culture with the ability to make quick and instinctual content decisions with an eye for what is interesting to fans and viewers. Additionally, candidates should be a proven leader with experience managing teams of about 5-7+ people, and strong mentorship abilities serving as player/coach within the team. You excel at guiding video producers and editors creatively, unlocking the pathway to successful final deliverable. Being nimble and able to thrive in an extremely fast-paced and agile environment will be key to your success in this role. We are hiring a Digital Media Editor to join the dynamic publishing startup that covers sports business with the highest quality editorial content in the industry. The Digital Media Editor will be responsible for producing / editing original video content to be used for general social media promotion of our editorial content, podcasts, and video series. A major part of the role will be constant communication with the editorial staff to promote daily editorial content in an easily digestible format for social media, while driving readers to the website to increase page views and subscriptions. The Digital Media Editor will also work closely with the sales and marketing team to help with promotion of our live events and the content that is captured from these events. We are looking for someone with knowledge of sports and the sports business industry who has their finger on the pulse of what content sports fans and sports business professionals are looking for and to amplify the social reach of our own content. Must have 3+ years of digital publishing and social media management and strategy experience. Must be willing to be on camera and/or do voice over.
