We are searching for a full-time faculty member whose research and teaching is in the area of BIPOC film/media history and theory. The successful applicant will hold the position of Assistant Professor of Instruction in Screen Cultures and will be responsible for teaching introductory lectures and upper-level seminars in film, television, digital media, and/or sound media. We welcome applicants exploring race and media within national, transnational, and/or global contexts. Additional desirable areas of expertise include, but are not limited to, queer or transgender media, media industries, and new media. We are especially interested in candidates with interdisciplinary interests who can interact with programs across our department such as sound arts, documentary media, film and video production, and screenwriting.
