The Public Affairs Videographer supports our Communications and Public Engagement efforts with film and video production, photography, developing and executing graphic designs, multi-media presentations and more for the agency's public information initiatives. This position creates visual communications to convey messages in an effective and aesthetically pleasing manner. This position requires a strong eye for documentary style filming and advanced video-editing skills. SFWMD utilizes Sony cameras, GoPro, audio equipment, Mac computers with Final Cut Pro, and the Adobe Creative Suite, including After Effects. Animation/graphic design expertise is preferred. SFWMD videos are hosted and distributed on the agency's website, YouTube channel, Vimeo, Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, LinkedIn and more. This position will be an integral part of conducting live streams at events such as ribbon cuttings and ground breakings and running Facebook Live from start to finish during major storm events. Typically has a Bachelor's Degree in Cinematography, Film or Video Production, Digital Arts or associated field and 3-5+ years of experience that demonstrates measurable career and technical progression that can be applied to the District's strategies, initiatives and programs.
