Blood Typers was one of my favourite indie picks of last month. A clever fusion of classic Resident Evil and The Typing Of The Dead with a little bit of proximity chat co-op chaos for spice. But much as I liked it, something was missingan ending. Despite not carrying any early access labelling, the game was still incomplete on release date, and had more than a few little rough edges to be sanded down.Todays update, The Scarlet Finale caps off a long series of hotfixes and balance tweaks with a major chunk of new content; the final story mission. Lionel Messi, Inter Miami win chaotic Champions Cup comeback v LAFC
2025-05-06 16:45:05| Spiritual Career Counseling
Lionel Messi and Inter Miami are through to the semi-finals of the Concacaf Champions Cup after a wild, come-from-behind 3-1 victory over Los Angeles FC at Chase Stadium in Fort Lauderdale, Florida.Messi himself buried the decisive goal from the penalty spot in the 84th minute while LAFC missed a raft of chances late on to either put the two-legged series beyond doubt or snatch what would have been a shocking late victory. With the win, Miami not only advance one step farther than they did with Messi in last years edition of Concacafs continental competition, but did so with a willingness to be the aggressors in any given situation throughout the match. Its an attitude that has been a more overt part of Miamis game since Javier Mascherano took over as head coach, and its exactly that type of approach that Concacaf competitions tend to reward. The second leg of the sides quarter-final boiled with intensity, with LAFCs Aaron Long surprisingly opening the scoring after just 10 minute...

Science By Sarah Metz April 12, 2025 / 7:05 AM EDT / CBS News With the hit HBO series "The Last of Us" returning for Season 2 on April 13, fans captivated by the terrifying concept of a fungal pandemic that turns humans into zombies once again face the question: How much of this chilling storyline is rooted in reality? While the idea of fungi creating zombie-like humans may sound far-fetched, real scientists have studied the connection behind fungal evolution and climate change and the threats fungi can pose to different species. Here's what we know about the science that inspired the show's premise:Can cordyceps infect humans? In "The Last of Us," cordyceps a real fungus that infects insects evolves into a harmful pathogen for humans due to a warming climate. In reality, "zombie-ant fungus" or Ophiocordyceps unilateralis, is a parasitic fungus that infects and manipulates the behavior of carpenter ants, ultimately leading to their death.Dr. Jim Kronstad, a microbiologist at the Univ...
