We invite applications for a one-year Visiting Teaching Assistant Professor in Film Studies and Production for the 2025-2026 academic year beginning in September 2025. Eligible candidates will have received a Ph.D. or MFA or an M.A./M.S. and have significant professional experience. The successful candidate will teach eight in-person courses over three quarters during the 2025-2026 academic year. The candidate will teach courses in the Film and Video Production and Studies major and in the university's common curriculum, including three (3) sections of the department's introduction to film criticism course, one (1) section of producing video for social media, two (2) sections of scriptwriting, one (1) section of introduction to film making, and one (1) section of directing for film and television. YouTube Producer/Strategist

We seek a creative, hyper-organized producer/strategist to scale our YouTube network of channels. The ideal candidate will be a fast, thoughtful video producer and editor with experience developing, assigning and optimizing video and metadata and a strong track record of managing channel growth on YouTube. The ability to edit video in a compelling way for platform-specific audience expectations and trends is a must, as is the ability to teach others. This YouTube strategist will work across the Video department to understand and track all content on the platform and optimize its presentation in the service of building new audiences for our journalism. They will also work closely with the leadership of our Video and Social teams to drive experimentation at all levels. The ideal candidate will be at the forefront of what distributed video looks like today, across formats and audience segments, and be ready to build personalities, shows and series designed to bring new audience to the journal. This hire is part of efforts to better serve the next generation of our audiences and subscribers.
