Leopard 40 REF#346777

Register with Boatshed to see 101 extra photos of this Leopard 40 .The Leopard 40, like other Leopard models before her, is a product of South African boat builders Robertson and Caine and includes a unique, modern design thanks to experienced naval architects Simonis and Voogd as well as Robertson and Caine's design team. She resembles her predecessors in speed, agility, and blue-water performance, but her enhancements include an increased volume in the hulls and a design consistent with the rest of the Leopard range currently in production. The Leopard 40s interior design is unlike any Leopard before her. Her galley is located forward and the forward-facing settee and table are now located aft. This allows for a panoramic view with large sliding glass doors between the saloon and the aft cockpit. This arrangement promotes easy communication for guests and an open flow between the saloon and the aft cockpit, and a fusion of indoor and outdoor living space. In addition, the galley area includes a large forward-facing window and an access door to the forward platform of the boat. The access door enhances the open concept feel and easy navigation in and around the yacht. It also promotes ventilation throughout the interior. Like the rest of the Leopard line, the new Leopard 40 includes a light blonde interior with a light, modern and airy feel. The starboard hull is dedicated to the owners. Aft is a queen berth with storage below and on each side. All the way forward is the separate shower stall with room to shower with a friend! Between are hanging lockers and storage cabinets and more hanging lockers and more storage cabinets Port hull is dedicated to the guests with staterooms fore and aft. Between are storage and hanging lockers as well as the guest head with separate shower stall. Great access is provided to service the air conditioning units in each hull as well as other machinery and wiring. Foredeck access is either from the wide side decks or through the door from the main salon. The walkway from the door provides the safest and most secure access to the anchor, windlass and associated gear possible. On either side of the walkway and just forward are huge deck lockers with room for all the fenders, lines, spares and supplies a 40 cat can carry. Aft deck has a great U shaped dinette and table with storage underneath and covered by the expansive hardtop. All exterior cushions custom made in Ft Lauderdale and much more comfortable than originals. Aft section of seating has a flip backrest for facing forward or aft. Great for watching the bait or lures skip behind the boat! Steps lead down to the water on both sides. Cockpit shower with hot and cold water on port side. Dinghy davit system lifts the tender well above the water for safe and secure stowage. Helm station is slightly raised on starboard side and very protected by overhead hardtop. All sailing lines and main halyard are lead to the helm and can be managed by sheet stoppers and the electric, self-tailing winches.. This example has just been phased out of the Moorings fleet with recent inspection and currently being maintained by a local management company. These boat details are subject to contract. Register with Boatshed to see 139 extra photos of this Moody 346 .These boat details are subject to contract. Note: Offers on the asking price may be considered. Built in 1986 this Moody 346 still maintains that quality feel of a top quality boat from the Moody Yards, Bill Dixon design. Purchased in 1992 by the present owner and lovingly cared for to date. She has been sailed to The Caribbean twice,3 times to the Mediterranean ,once to Scandinavia and along the Yorkshire coast. Having the benefit of centre cockpit and aft cabin not found on many yachts of this size, gives a feeling of being a much larger boat. The aft cabin has a good seating area as-well as a full size bed . The galley is a very good size and the saloon is very spacious, the owner and his wife lived aboard for 15 years ,their daughter recalls many happy memories with her sister and parents onboard. There is a lot of Nav gear included with this yacht. New rig in 2024 which unfortunately the owner has been unable to use due to illhealth. As far as I can see and know this yacht is ready to go for new adventures ,just needs anti fouling and a loving new owner .This Moody 346 has been personally photographed and viewed by Paul Briggs of Boatshed.
