This is a funcraft 1300 steel cruiser bought by the current owner in 2021. She is a very nice and large vessel that does require some tidying up as the boat has been effectively not used for a year or so. She was serviced in August 2024 and also had a stern thruster added to compliment her existing bow thruster. She has folding radar arch and screens to aid bridge clearances and a large flybridge / cockpit area with plenty of seating and storage. To the aft is a large swim platform with stairs down each side to access. Wide safe side decks with solid guardrails flank the side walkways making this a safe walk round vessel with large foredeck area with windlass and fender storage. She has twin conformal solar panels on the forward coach roof. Heading down the starboard side companionway you enter the very large open plan saloon and galley to port with washing machine. ample comfortable seating and bright woodwork abound. Under the three hatches in the floor is the extensive engine bay and services access and houses the DAF Diesel engine and systems. The diesel engine appears to start and run very readily and quietly and responds nicely to the controls. The aft cabin is full size and width and has an island berth plus a full size shower and separate heads compartment. There is also a hatch to access the aft swim platform and plenty of bright wood storage cabinetry. Moving forward is the forward heads compartment to Starboard and ahead of that the forward cabin with twin berths. I believe this can be made into a double but was unable to check due to the stored items in this cabin. Her paintwork is all presentable and in general she is in need of a clear out and clean up. This appears to be a spacious and well constructed boat that would make a great cruiser or liveaboard vessel. Her Boat Safety certificate has lapsed but should be a simple matter to reinstate if required for your chosen waterway. These boat details are subject to contract. Broom 30 Skipper REF#342457

2025-04-28 12:45:46| Boatshed.com Recent Boats

Register with Boatshed to see 126 extra photos of this Broom 30 Skipper .Here we have one of my favorite broads cruisers! The ever popular Broom Skipper, and this particular example is just breathtaking. (and I really do mean that) The current owner of the last 8 years has spent around 20k improving this example and it clearly shows. She has a professional two pack bright white sprayed paint coat that looks stunning and in that process every window was removed serviced and fully resealed on refitting so she is nice dry boat. Her hardwood folding screen was professionally replaced by the same respected boatyard. She has a very good canopy over the cockpit which can be opened up fully and the cockpit windows and sides dropped to allow her to clear all the broads brides at the right tides. Her layout is very clever in that the forward cabin has its own companionway door and next to that there is the other companionway leading to the large heads and shower wet room. The forward cabin has an offset double with plenty of well finished storage and hear soft fittings and trim are all excellent. The cockpit is bright and practical with split folding doors each side and a raised aft seating bench and canopy staves above. Easy battery access is found within the bench seat, so no need to pull up the floor at access master switches or the batteries and charger. Under the floor is a BMC 1.5 that starts and runs as it should and this example underwent a full refurbishment in 2010. This bilge is clean and dry and all items for service are readily at hand. The internal cockpit frame structure has also been replaced as they are a common issue on the type, so that should not be an issue on this fine example. Heading aft down the companionway you enter the large and comfortable aft cabin with galley running across the whole aft of the boat which is a lovely feature of these cracking little boats. Her comfortable saloon converts to a good sized double when required and all her upholstery appears to be in very good order as do the original headlining's. This beautiful boat gleams in the sunshine and has her broads toll paid and has just had a new Boats safety Certificate inspection so she is good for the next 4 years and expires on 02/04/2029. With added 240V shore power and immersion heater and diesel warm air heating all fitted this is a very well equipped and comfortable example and must be seen to be fully appreciated. The current owner has ensured that she has been regularly serviced the last one being November 24 as part of her winterizing regime leaving her ready for the new season ahead. She also had a new stainless steel rudder in 2019, a new injector pump in 2019 and the diesel heater was fitted in 2024! Lastly she was last antifouled in 2023. I have to say that we do see a good number of these marvelous little Brooms and this one is very much one of the best I have seen for a fair while. These boats are also a dream to handle and very neutral and I am certain this example will delight her new owner These boat details are subject to contract.
