She is an easy and responsive boat to sail and can also be manoeuvred easily under motor. She can easily be sailed singlehandedly with her self tacking headsail, furling headsail and a stacker pack for the main. All control lines lead to the cockpit. The mast is on a tabernacle which allows the mast to be lowered easily by the crew if one wishes to negotiate estuaries or canals where there are bridges. Below she has room for family or friends with a small berth forward for 2 children, 2 settee berths around the cabin table and a large double berth aft. The neat galley is to starboard with the heads opposite. This boat has the benefit of twin keels and therefore she can be moored on drying moorings which are so much cheaper than marinas. She is also ideal for exploring drying harbours and sandy beaches. This boat is a well presented example of the Hunter Horizon 272. Well worth viewing. These boat details are subject to contract. This particular Endurance has a ferro cement hull designed by Peter IBold and built by Windboats Ltd. These yachts were highly regarded as long distant cruises. The extent of the refurbishment is very apparent. The original teak decking had been removed and the deck beams renewed and or replaced along the length of the hull. Internal bulkheads and other joinery improved to the current standard. There has obviously been a huge amount of work done to reach the current condition. Some other things of note are Batteries and wiring - 2020 Renewed propeller - 2020 Renewed gearbox - PRM Renewed Calorifier - 2020 Overall, this refurbishment project has reached the point where the final touches to the interior with decoration and perhaps some soft furnishing are required to complete and make it welcoming. This yacht now feels solid and appears ready for the next chapter.
