Designed by Alan F Hill in 1969, the Sabre 27 offers ample living space for her size, with a practical layout and good sailing qualities. The price reflects the required work and investment needed to see the boat return to a fit and usable state. For example but not exclusively, there is water ingress, causing damp related issues, there does not appear to be power onboard, the engine is it situ but otherwise of unknown functionality. This is a pretty boat with potential, an ideal project, certainly not beyond restoration in the right hands. The Broadblue 385 has a reputation for an ocean-going cruiser providing a performance sailing platform. This is a three cabin version dedicating all the starboard hull to the owner with full en-suite facilities, including a full study area, separate walk in shower and toilet. Ideal for guests or family, sharing a combined heads in the port hull, with two separate berth's forward and aft. Also, diesel heated radiators is provided to all cabins, for those cooler times. The helm position provides good all-round visibility and the addition of a Bimini. The running rigging is straightforward and led to the cockpit. As you might expect from a multihull, the space outside is as impressive as it is inside, with wide side decks and an expansive foredeck, ideal for relaxing. Twin diesel engines provide plenty of power and manoeuvrability when needed. Stepping in from the cockpit you are invited into a spacious and airy saloon and galley, with a well equipped navigation station to port and shared access to each hull. This example is in a nice condition with just 3 owners since new, boasting the hydraulic keel lifting system you can lower the draft to just 0.71m! She has been well maintained with regular engine servicing (Jan 2025 being most recent) and regular rig checks however standing rigging is due to be replaced as its 15 years old and the owners have this scheduled in before the start of the new season. The finish and use of space is brilliant with a huge aft cabin, generous galley and a very comfortable and sizeable saloon making this an ideal family boat.
